Introducing OKRs in your team
OKR (Objectives and Key Results) helps a team focus on a few of the most important things and measure progress. This guide walks you through the first round so that the method does not turn into a heavy reporting exercise.
You will need
- The organisation’s strategy or goals for the year
- A team workshop of about 2 hours
- A shared tracking spreadsheet or tool
- A weekly 15-minute check-in
Steps
Explain why
Tell the team what OKRs are used for and that they are not used as a basis for pay or performance appraisals. Otherwise people will set their goals too cautiously.
