Applying for an identity card

An identity card is an official proof of identity that you can travel with in EU and Schengen countries. You can apply for one in the police online service.

You will need

• Online banking credentials
• Passport photo (photo code)

Steps

1. Order a photo

   The photo studio sends the photo electronically and gives you a photo code.

2. Log in to the police service

3. Choose identity card

4. Pay for the application

5. Identify yourself if needed

6. Follow the processing

7. Collect the card

8. Keep the PIN codes safe
