Recognising and preventing overtraining
Overtraining develops when training, other stress and too little recovery pile up over a long time. Overreaching that's noticed early often resolves in days or weeks, but an advanced state can take months.
You will need
- A training diary
- Resting heart rate tracking
- An honest assessment of how you're coping
- A doctor's appointment if needed
