Paint a room neatly
Painting a room is one of the easiest ways to refresh your home. When the preparation is done carefully, the result looks like a professional's work.
You will need
- Interior paint (approx. 1 l per 8–10 m² per coat)
- Roller, extension pole and paint tray
- Angled brush
- Masking tape and protective paper
- Filler, filling knife and sandpaper
- Cleaner for surfaces to be painted
Steps
Calculate how much paint you need
Measure the surface area of the walls and subtract the windows and doors. Multiply by two, because most walls need two coats, and check the coverage on the paint tin.
Protect the room
Fill and sand
Wash the walls
Cut in the edges with a brush
Roll in a W pattern
Let it dry and apply a second coat
Remove the tape and clean up
