Planning a rest day

Many active people know that they need rest, but rest days easily fill up with other tiring things. A well-planned rest day supports the recovery of both body and mind.

You will need

Steps

  1. Place your rest day well

Usually have your rest day after your hardest workout of the week or after two training days in a row. For most recreational exercisers, 1–2 rest days a week works well.

  2. Decide on the type of rest

  3. Eat normally

  4. Drink enough

  5. Limit other strain

  6. Do something you enjoy

  7. Assess the next morning
