Product damaged in delivery

When you order from an online shop, the risk only passes to you once you have the product in your possession. That is why transport damage is the seller’s responsibility, and you complain to the seller, not the delivery company.

You will need

Steps

  1. Check the parcel on collection

Look at the parcel at the pick-up point or while the driver is still there. If the packaging is clearly damaged, mention it straight away.

  2. Take photos before opening

  3. Open and check it at once

  4. Keep the packaging

  5. Complain to the seller

  6. Demand a repair or replacement

  7. Do not pay for the return yourself
