Grow cucumbers

Cucumbers thrive in warm, humid conditions. Cucumbers grown in a greenhouse or on a glazed balcony produce a generous crop.

You will need

• Cucumber seeds
• Seed compost
• Large pots or grow bags
• A support or climbing frame
• Fertiliser

Steps

1. Sow indoors

   Sow indoors somewhere warm in April–May.

2. Keep them warm

3. Move them to the growing spot

4. Support the plant

5. Water generously

6. Feed
