A picture hung straight and at the right height finishes off a room. Choosing the right fixing for the wall material keeps the picture from falling.

- Spirit level
- Tape measure and pencil
- Hammer or drill
- Masking tape

Knock on the wall: a hollow sound means plasterboard, a hard one concrete or brick. Choose the fixing to suit the wall.
Check for cables inside the wall
