Many parking fines happen because the disc was not set correctly or the time limit on the sign was missed. This guide explains how to read parking signs and use the disc and apps so that you do not get a fine.

- A parking disc for the inside of the windscreen
- A phone and a parking app
- Your car's registration number
- A payment card for the app

Read the sign and the additional plate
Check the additional plates below the parking sign for the time limit, the hours it applies and whether parking is paid. Weekday hours are usually shown without brackets, Saturday hours in brackets and Sunday or public holiday hours in red.
