Macramé wall hanging

Macramé is a textile craft made by tying knots. A wall hanging is an easy first project in which you learn the basic knots.

You will need

• Macramé cord (3–5 mm, about 50 m)
• A wooden dowel or branch (40 cm)
• Scissors
• Tape measure
• A hook or stand to work on

Steps

1. Hang the dowel

   Hang the dowel from a hook at eye level so that it is easy to work.

2. Cut the cords

3. Attach the cords with a lark's head knot

4. Learn the square knot

5. Tie alternating square knots

6. Tie spiral knots

7. Shape the bottom edge

8. Brush out the ends
