First aid for hypothermia

A person can become dangerously cold even at temperatures above zero if they are wet, tired or intoxicated. Handling them too roughly can make the situation worse. This guide goes through the symptoms, warming up and when to call 112.

  4. Insulate them from the cold ground

  5. Remove wet clothes

  6. Warm the core

  7. Give a warm drink
